Yr Hydref (Written by Edward Hughes)

1 Wrth gerdded trwy’r goedwig un bore

Gweld y dail yn lwybyr dan fy nhraed

Lliwiau llachar yn felyn goch ac aur – perffaith

2 Daeth yr hydref i arwain y gaeaf

Pan fydd y nos yn hir ac yn oer

Sdim ots da fi i eistedd wrth y tân yn fy mwthyn

Cytgan

Dim ond cwsg….dros y gaeaf

Paid a deffro……tan y gwanwyn

Cau dy lyged…..mor dywyll

Cwsg yn dawel ….dros y gaeaf

3 Cododd yr awel yn sydyn

Cododd y dail troi’n gylch yn yr awyr

Pethe fel hyn sy’n dangos bod yr hydref ‘di dod I ni

Cytgan

4 Offeryn

5 Gweld yr haul yn isel dros y gorwel

Goleuo llwydni yr awyr agored

Well da fi i flasu holl pleserau’r tymhorau

Cytgan

1 While walking through the woods one morning

Seeing the path of leaves beneath my feet

Bright colours, yellow, red and gold – perfect

2 Autumn came to announce the winter

When the nights are long and cold

I don’t mind sitting by the fire in my cottage

Chorus

Just sleep – through the winter

Don’t wake up – until the spring

Close your eyes – they’re so dark

Sleep in peace – through the winter

3 The breeze suddenly rose

The leaves turning into a circle in the sky

These are things that show the autumn has arrived

Chorus

4 You see the sun low on the horizon

The sky is lit with grey

I prefer to taste all the pleasures of the seasons.
